Welcome to the Hospital School!

The mission of the UNC Hospital School is to provide educational services that meet the unique needs of children and adolescents at the University of North Carolina Hospitals. The Hospital School is one of the schools in the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools district and is located within the UNC Hospitals complex. In addition to State and Hospital funding, private support for the school is also provided by the Addie Armfield Education Endowment Fund, established with the Medical Foundation of NC, Inc.

What's Up?

  • Wind powered Lego creations
Our elementary students and their teachers Mrs. Resaul and
Mrs. Richmond, built Lego "machines" that could be moved
by wind power. They hit a home run with these creations!

  • Pipelines - Kid's Edition
After the teachers experimented with pipelines and water and gravity
and towels, the kids had a turn. Watch the slideshow to see some
    awesome creations!
